In this type, the spandex yarn is first covered with a spiral wave of S twist with polyester or nylon DTY, and then on top of it, the yarn is covered with a spiral wave of Z twist again with the polyester or nylon DTY. One is the outer cover and the other is the inner cover. Therefore, the spandex is double-covered with yarn, and the final yarn torque is zero. Different TPM and DR produce different comfortable touch and extension.

This is the traditional method of covering spandex yarn with polyester filament yarn or nylon filament yarn. Spandex from 10 denier to 840 denier is covered with a filament yarn such as nylon, polyester, rayon, etc. It can be divided into two types: S twist and Z twist. Z twists are often used in elastic fabrics, but socks and underwear use both S and Z twists to shape the body curve.
